A Family Farm’s Legacy in West Asheville
The family farm on Cedar Hill Road in West Asheville began in 1938, when "Big Paw" built the Hyatt family home by hand and started cultivating tobacco and then vegetables on the surrounding land. As the farm expanded, his wife "Bobo" took on a vital role—managing field crews and helping supply produce to local markets, fostering strong ties within the community. In later years, the shift to greenhouse farming reflected the family’s enduring passion for the land and established a legacy of hard work, resilience, and dedication that continues to inspire.
